Thanks for your input re a potential browser problem. So I am on a MAC and have just switched out of Chrome and back into Safari -- and I was able to cut and paste, including retaining hyperlinks, by using SAFARI instead of Chrome. So it looks like it is a Chrome problem -- at least on my end!!! Though the fonts and sizes show up differently. Now, can someone explain to me how to do 'paste + match style' function? I usually do the keyboard shortcuts of 'command + c' to copy or cut, then 'command + v' to paste.
Spjnyc 22/9/2014, 12:21 น. I'm using a MAC, both laptop and desktop, google chrome, MS Word for MAC 2011 14.4.3. Word docs are pasting as uneditable images no matter what I clear or do. Nothing has changed in either of my computers since this started happening a few days ago. However, the issue does not happen with Safari, so I'm using Safari for now instead of google chrome because I need this function for my work. I will return to google chrome if it gets fixed -- in the meantime I'm missing all those great ads-lol!

We have disabled Chrome updates on a number of machines because it seems every time Google releases an update and tries to shove it down our throats that it breaks one of our applications. When I sought an answer to a long-running problem with google calendar on these pages, despite numerous requests for help from others over years, no one from google ever replied. All very mysterious and not user friendly.
The calendar problem, btw, is that when you try to search for calendar entries that include a defined search term, calendar will only show an arbitrary portion of all the found calendar entries. Hi there, I saw this fault as a solution to my inability to paste from excel with full formatting. I can see now it was coming in as a picture but this actually worked really well for our business, with lots of us in the office pasting un-editable information from excel into gmail regularly.
Can you advise on how to get this specific function back for us or can I request that it becomes available soon please? Copying into word then back out again is not efficient enough. To replicate this you just need to copy as a picture (bitmap) and then paste it into Gmail. For Excel 2007 you click on paste and there is a little arrow at the bottom that brings up a dropdown and one of the options is 'as picture ->', and then select copy as picture.
